Sleeps 14 | 7 Bedrooms | 7 Bathrooms
Villa Cassandra is a historic, luxury villa in Tuscany, just a few kilometres from the heart of Lucca. With 7 bedrooms, it can comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests.

The Space

The villa dates back to the 18th century and, whilst it has been recently restored, the owners have carefully preserved its original period features so that a stay here feels almost like stepping back in time. The interior accommodation is spread out over 4 floors which are connected by a lift as well as stairs.

A basement level is home to a cellar and laundry room. Here guests will find a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.

On the ground floor, there is an elegant living room, a spacious dining room, modern kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, American-style refrigerator, toaster and coffee maker. A small breakfast table seats 4 and provides additional preparation space.

There are two double bedrooms on the first floor as well as a bedroom furnished with two single beds. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. Two have showers whilst the third has both a shower and bath tub.

Up on the second floor, there are four further bedrooms. Two double bedrooms here have ensuite shower rooms. There are then two bedrooms, each with two single beds. These bedrooms share a bathroom with shower and bathtub.

Please note that there is a separate annex that can accommodate an additional 2 guests if required. This costs an extra 350 euros per day. Please ask for more details.

Outside, there is an Italian style garden with circular fountain. Outdoor dining areas are furnished with gazebos and there is a BBQ for al fresco dining. A swimming pool (measuring 10 x 6 metres and with a depth of 1.4 metres) sits surrounded by well manicured lawns. Parasols and sun loungers are positioned around it and there is a changing room and shower here too for guests to use.

There is private parking for up to 4 cars.

Please note that heating is an additional cost when required. This is charged on departure based on consumption. A 1000 euro security deposit is payable locally in cash. This is refunded on departure upon the property being left in satisfactory condition.

Local Area

Villa Cassandra is situated just 9 km from Lucca. Pisa and Montecatini Terme are both a 40 minute drive away. The coastal town of Versilia can be reached in a similar amount of time. This is a popular seaside resort, and has a good nightlife for those travelling with teens and young adults. Also on this stretch of coast is Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi and Pietrasanta. For those that prefer the countryside, we recommend guests visit Garfagnana, a beautiful rural area perfect for hiking, cycling and trekking. Florence can easily be reached in a day too.
