Bookings For You wins gold at the British Travel Awards

29 November 2022 saw the eagerly awaited announcement of the British Travel Award winners 2021 / 2022 at a glittering ceremony in London. After a break in 2021 due to the continued impact of the COVID pandemic on the travel industry, the anticipation was palpable to hear who had provided the best customer service and product offering and who had delivered the best holidays across each category.

The awards certainly came back with a bang. This year, hosted by ITV’s Alison Hammond and with a special performance from Strictly’s Anton du Beke and Giovanni Perenice, it was very much a star studded affair. With this year’s partner charity the NSPCC, plenty of money was also raised on the night to support good causes thanks to a live auction.

This year, the public voted more than ever before, perhaps not surprisingly since they didn’t have the chance to do so in 2021. But perhaps this is also a reflection of the appreciation customers have for travel companies that have taken care of them over the past two years, despite the interruption to their original holiday plans.  

During the course of the evening, the Bookings For You team were delighted to collect the award for the Best Villa Holiday Company. On collecting the award, Bookings For You Director, Jo Mackay said, ‘The British Travel Awards (BTAs) are entirely voted for by consumers so to make it on to the winning podium truly is a testament of the level of customer service we have successfully delivered over the past two years. It has not been an easy couple of years for anyone who works in the travel industry but I have been exceptionally proud of how we have been able to give our customers the flexibility and reassurance they needed.’

The company also has exciting plans for the year ahead.
