The British Travel Awards (BTAs) are back! The equivalent of what the Oscars are to the film industry, last year the BTAs saw over 400,000 consumers voting for their favourite travel companies and brands across more than 80 categories. With the BTAs voted for entirely by the travelling public, the awards are recognised by consumers as genuinely representing a ‘symbol of excellence’ in travel and tourism.
There is absolutely no doubt that this has certainly been the toughest year for the travel industry in living memory. Since setting up Bookings For You, we’ve had to deal with a steady stream of challenges, including a global recession in the early days and, more recently, Brexit. However the impact of the coronavirus pandemic has been truly unprecedented not just for us but for the entire travel industry.
Over the past few months we have tried to maintain the same level of care for all our clients that we always deliver. For those unable to travel, we have offered refunds where we could and credit vouchers where we were unable to return deposits paid. For those whose holidays could go ahead as planned, we have worked carefully with our local teams to implement new protocols to ensure that our guests were as safe as possible. We are so grateful to all our clients this year for their unwavering support and loyalty.
