Introducing Villa Anna: A luxury villa on Lake Como

Introducing Villa Anna: A luxury villa on Lake Como

One of Italy’s most sough-after holiday spots, Lake Como has attracted the rich and famous for centuries. These days, it’s where George Clooney has a home and there are rumours that Richard Branson also has a house on Lake Como’s shores. But, don’t worry… you don’t need to be a millionaire to enjoy all that Lake Como has to offer.

Introducing Villa Anna…. Bookings For You are thrilled to be offering this stunning 7 bedroom villa on Lake Como for the first time in 2021. This Lake Como holiday rental oozes style from every corner. Whilst recently renovated, the owners have taken care to preserve an array of original features including stunning wooden floors which give the rooms incredible character and style.

Inside, there are a number of beautifully furnished living areas along with a well equipped kitchen and 7 comfortable bedrooms, all with good quality beds to ensure a good nights sleep for all. With a self contained annex downstairs, the living arrangements are also ideal for anyone travelling with grandparents or for those who would like to bring a nanny or housekeeper with them.

But the elegance doesn’t stop indoors. Villa Anna is set in approximately 2 acres of gardens, set over several levels, which are immaculately kept. A private pool is available for guests use along with an outdoor kitchen and a wisteria-covered outdoor seating area perfect for al fresco dining and entertaining. And not only that… the views from the property are simply incredible. With 180 degree views stretching each way along the lake, this is a property that you’ll find it hard to tear yourself away from!

But if you can bring yourself to venture out, then you’ll find it’s perfectly positioned for exploring the very best that Lake Como has to offer. The villa is set in a quiet, peaceful rural setting and it’s just a short but idyllic 10 minute walk through vineyards to reach the nearest village where guests will find a greengrocer, butcher and small village store. This is very much a part of Lake Como where you will find an authentic slice of Italy, away from the tourists and surrounded by incredibly welcoming locals.

However, for those who want to tick off Lake Como’s tourist spots, it’s also just a 10 minute drive to the lakeside from where you can catch a ferry to one of Lake Como’s most popular lakeside towns – Bellagio – along with its quieter but just as beautiful neighbour, Varenna. In the Summer months, it’s well worth using the public boat network to criss-cross the lake and explore the other lakeside towns and villages. Or, for something a little more luxurious, hire your own boat and head out on the water by yourselves.

But this isn’t a property suitable only for the Summer months. For those staying during the Winter, this Lake Como villa is perfectly placed for skiing, situated just 40 minutes drive away from the nearest ski slopes. These slopes are incredibly family friendly with sledging facilities also available, making it an ideal choice for those trying skiing as a family for the first time. Alternatively, for the serious skiers amongst you, some of the best Swiss ski resorts are easily accessible from the villa in around 2 hours including St Moritz.
