Given the vast numbers of tourists opting to visit Italy each year, it’s perhaps not surprising that some of the main tourist attractions can get very busy. It’s not unusual to spend a few hours queuing for entry if you don’t plan ahead. But a little bit of extra organisation will mean that you are able to skip these queues and avoid waiting in line. Book ’skip the line’ tickets for tourist attractions in Italy in advance. Alternatively, look at booking yourself on to one of the many organised tours and you’ll avoid the queues.

Just a word of caution. Make sure you book with an officially recognised and reputable company. Take a look at the following licensed vendors.

Best sites to book tickets for tourist attractions in Italy

Get Your Guide

This European based company has a mission to turn ‘ordinary trips into extraordinary ones.’ Of course, we would never consider any holiday booked through us at Bookings For You as ordinary! However, we are in definite agreement that trips and tours can add even more enjoyment to your stay.

Get Your Guide offer a multitude of experiences to choose from. Perhaps you’re simply looking for an opportunity to simply buy tickets for tourist attractions in Italy ahead of time to save you queuing for attractions. Or maybe you’re after a more in-depth experience. Whatever your reasons, this is a great site to look at. Each option has reviews you can look at. Plus, if you scroll to the bottom of the listing, you can also see who the provider is of that specific tour.

Viator

This is a company owned by TripAdvisor. It allows holidaymakers to book tours, trips, experiences and tickets for tourist attractions in Italy. They even offer transfers. Most can be cancelled up to 24 hours before your arrival allowing you plenty of scope to change your plans as your holiday approaches.

With Locals

This is a great site that puts holidaymakers in contact with locals to enjoy some fantastic tours and experiences. They currently have over 2000 unique experiences with verified locals in 88 destinations. All experiences have been rated so you can check out what others have thought about the experience before making your booking.

Arte e Sole

Arte e Sole is an Italian based company with a flair for focusing on families. They don’t currently operate in all areas of Italy. Nevertheless, it’s worth taking a look at their website or getting in touch with them to see if they do have anything of interest for you to try during your stay. As well offering year round family tours, art workshops and activities, they also offer children’s day camps. These are a great opportunity for any younger family members to meet other children of their own age on holiday. Not only that but Arte e Sole can also offer tailored experiences in the comfort of your holiday rental. Whether you’re interested in cookery, pottery, art or even football, whatever your passion, they are likely to have something that would interest you. Do get in touch with Lisa Tucci directly at info@artealsole.com if you would like further information. Mention Bookings For You when you enquire and any children within the group will receive a complimentary sketch book if you do sign up for a tour.

If you don’t manage to get organised and do end up queuing for tickets, don’t be tempted to try and jump the queue. On occasion you’ll find people offering skip the line tickets here, but the likelihood is that they aren’t genuine so it’s probably not worth the risk.
