Villa Grosetto is a 4 bedroom Tuscany villa in the heart of the Maremma national park. Once the former hunting lodge of the Grand Duke, it has been lovingly renovated and transformed into a delightful hideaway, filled with comfortable furnishings and carefully preserved 18th century features.
Inside, the property measures 300 square metres and accommodation is laid out over 2 floors. Inside, there is a bright and airy open plan kitchen, dining and living area. Doors lead from here to the terrace and garden. There is a second living area upstairs. In addition, there are four spacious bedrooms, two on the ground floor and two on the first floor. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and plenty of wardrobe space.
The interior was designed by architect Ettore Moccchetti and intentionally combines rural Italian style with a French decorative style. Dark furnishings have been chosen intentionally, recalling those of the late 19th century. And these contrast with the ochre yellows, oranges and intense purples of many of the Florentine fabrics used.
Outside, guests staying at Villa Grosseto enjoy use of a private swimming pool situated amid extensive gardens. A shaded terrace is the perfect setting to dine al fresco, and makes the most of the superb views over the Tuscan countryside.
The villa is set on a larger estate and guests can therefore enjoy access to the other facilities on site for an additional cost. These include a wonderful spa with 4 treatment rooms, mineral rich heated vitality pool, 2 thermal spas, Turkish bath and thalassotherapy pool. Other facilities include a small golf course, tennis court, mountain bike hire, Italian cooking classes and wine tastings. In addition, there are 2 on site restaurants. One is more formal whilst the other is perfect for more casual dining.
Villa Grosseto is set in the heart of the Maremma countryside in Tuscany. It's just 7 km from the coast and the picturesque town of Castiglione della Pescaia. Other beautiful towns nearby well worth visiting include Pitigliano and Siena. A 15 minute drive will take you to the nearest beach clubs where you can venture out on boat excursions or rent sun loungers for the day.
