Castello Firenze is bathed in history. At one time, it was owned by the illustrious Benzi family. Baron Ugo Benzi would once have hunted in the surrounding woods with his great friend and world-famous composer, Giacomo Puccini.

The accommodation within Castello Firenze is split between the castle and an adjacent borgo. The borgo would once have been an independent hamlet lived in by farmers and artisans and home to a number of work buildings but has been tastefully converted into living space. However, the estate still produces excellent prize-winning wine and olive oil today.

In the castle, the living areas are absolutely stunning. On the ground floor, there is a well equipped kitchen, beautiful dining room and spacious living area. There is also a billiards room for your enjoyment.

Guests will also discover two beautifully furnished suites in the castle. The first is on the first floor of the castle. It has a large living room with stone fireplace which overlooks the Italian garden below. It also boasts a small kitchen, a large bedroom with super king size bed as well as a bathroom with shower. The bedroom overlooks the castle courtyard and walls. It is furnished with priceless family antique furnishings.

The second suite has two bedrooms - a double room and twin bedroom. There is also a large, fully equipped kitchen decorated with colourful Italian tiles and a living room. Doors lead out to a panoramic terrace with views over the Chianti hills.

Just beside the castle sits the borgo. This is divided into five charming and comfortable apartments.

The first of these measures 70 square metres. Accommodation is laid out over two floors. On the ground floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen, a living room and bathroom with shower. Upstairs, there is a double bedroom as well as a bedroom with two single beds. There is a second shower room on this floor too.

The second apartment is slightly smaller, measuring 50 square metres. This has an open plan living and dining area with kitchenette along with a double bedroom and shower room.

The third apartment has two bedrooms - one double room and one single room. Guests in these two bedrooms share a bathroom with shower. It also has cooking facilities.

The fourth apartment has a large double bedroom, shower room and a fully equipped cooking and dining area.

Finally, the fifth and smallest apartment has a double bedroom and shower room. A mini fridge and kettle are provided in this room.

Castello Firenze is also well suited for anyone planning a wedding or celebration. There are plenty of outdoor spaces to host events as well as a large hall indoors. There is also an exquisite family chapel on site.

And, for all guests, there is the option to enjoy a number of additional services to make your stay even more special. We can organise a chef to provide a typical Tuscan dinner, brunch, light lunch, breakfast, pizza or BBQ party. Costs range from between approximately 25 and 90 euros per person dependent on what you're looking for. Or we can organise cooking classes at the castle too. Another extra we recommend is to enjoy a guided tour of the castle's old cellar and olive mill along with a tasting of the amazing olive oil and product made on the estate. This costs 30 euros per person.

Castello Firenze is perfectly situated for exploring the very best that the area has to offer. For golf lovers, the Florence Golf Club of Ugolino is just 6 km away. This is one of the finest 18 hole golf courses anywhere in the world. There are also several riding stables nearby should guests wish to enjoy lessons or treks during their stay. Of course, it is also possible to explore this beautiful countryside on foot or by bike too.

If you're looking to explore Tuscany's famous cities, then it's just a 30 minute drive into the heart of Florence. Pisa, San Gimignano and Siena are all approximately an hour away by car. Shopaholics may prefer to get their shopping done at The Mall outlet which is under 40 minutes away by car.
