As you go inside Villa Lecce, you come into a stylish and elegant living room. A large comfortable sofa is arranged across from a smart TV for lazy evenings watching films. Two circular tables, each with four chairs, are the perfect arrangement for card games with friends. From this room, you move through to the dining area. A large table seating up to 8 guests is the perfect setting to enjoy breakfasts, lunches and dinners. A wonderfully decorative fireplace adds character and charm to the space. Continuing on again, you enter the fully equipped, contemporary kitchen. Natural stone worktops and units create a unique space. A central island provides the perfect food preparation area. A small studio doubles up as a study with desk area for those needing to work during their stay. Finally there is also a laundry room with dryer, iron and washing machine.
There are also six bedrooms in Villa Lecce, some within a separate dependence close to the property. Each room has its own character and charm. All are furnished with a double bed and all boast ensuite bathrooms. Each has satellite TV, a safe, hairdryer, desk and storage space. All are fully air conditioned too. Doors lead from each bedroom to the garden and terrace.
The owners have retained many original features to add to the character of Villa Lecce. These include a large wood-burning oven, ancient fireplace and parts of the original historic walls.
Villa Lecce sits in beautiful countryside. A courtyard surrounded by fruit trees and aromatic plants is home to a private curvilinear swimming pool measuring approximately 40 square metres. It has a depth of 1.5 metres. This is open from May to October each year. Adjacent is a small jacuzzi, built in stone. The area offers complete privacy, away from prying eyes. There is also an outdoor shower. Plenty of sun loungers are provided. A covered terrace is home to a charcoal BBQ and outdoor dining table, perfect for meals outdoors.
Should guests wish, we can provide additional services during their stay. These include a daily breakfast service. Costs are 9 euros per person per day. Other services include cookery classes, the services of a chef and more.
Lecce is just a 20 minute drive north from the villa, whilst Otranto sits a similar distance to the south east. Gallipoli is a 30 minute drive away whilst Puglia's southern tip - Santa Maria di Leuca - can be reached in an hour by car. If you want to visit the trulli of the Valle d'Itria, then this is also easily possible. Ostuni is just over an hour away and Alberobello can be reached in less than 2 hours.
Please note that the final access to the villa is along a cobbled road.
