10 Italian villas for the perfect family holiday

Family Travel, Inspiration, Italy

Choosing accommodation can be a stressful part of holiday planning, especially if you’re looking for the perfect villa in Italy for a family vacation. Finding family-friendly holiday accommodation isn’t always easy; so we’ve picked our favourite properties for family breaks, to give you some inspiration for your next trip away.

Villa Buonanotte Barbanera

This luxury villa was part-created from a 14th Century church, and is in a central town location — ideal if you want to be able to walk to restaurants and shops.

The house is beautifully furnished, with collated items from around the world — it might be one to avoid with toddlers and small children — which gives it a real homely feel.

Good to know: This villa is a good base if you’re looking to indulge in some adventure activities; horse riding, hiking, rafting and sailing are all available in the local area.

Villa Sereni

A great option for families, this Italian Lakes villa rental is set up with all the equipment families with young children will need – cot, highchair and stroller – and has plenty to keep youngsters of all ages entertained including a selection of toys, games and DVDs as well as an XBOX games console.

Good to know: For larger groups, or for families travelling together, it is possible to also rent the adjacent property – Villa Caruso – which can comfortably sleep up to 6 guests.

Il Torrino

Il Torrino is a charming 4 bedroom villa in Tuscany that can sleep up to 6 guests comfortably. Children will enjoy the communal infinity swimming pool where they’ll have a chance to meet other children and make friends on holiday.

Good to know: Guests can enjoy additional services on request such as a daily breakfast service or a ‘chef a toi’ meal service in the evenings, delivering delicious home-cooked food to the comfort of your holiday rental.

Villa Papillon

This 3 bedroom Puglia villa rental is immaculately presented and boasts fantastic sea views from both the pool area and rooftop terrace. Table tennis will keep the kids entertained during the day.

Good to know: Bikes are available for guests to use during their stay.

Monastero di Favori

A stunning Le Marche villa rental, this property is ideal for those families who are looking for an idyllic setting for their stay. Children will love the outdoor games on offer as well as the private pool. But many also revel in the delights of playing in the stream which runs through the bottom of the garden. This is very much a home where children can enjoy the simple (and best) pleasures of life to the full.

Good to know: The property is set in a rural location so this is very much a house for those who want to spend lazy days in the sunshine by the pool rather than being out constantly sight-seeing.

If this still hasn’t inspired you with the perfect accommodation, please feel free to contact us for a personal recommendation and we would be only too happy to help you find your perfect villa in Italy.
