The apartment was completely restored in 2011 by the current owners. It is clear that they have an eye for both detail and comfort while ensuring a strong relationship with the building's past. The apartment entrance is on the first floor and accessed by external stone stairs.
Inside there is a well equipped kitchen and dining room. The kitchenette is equipped with 4 ring gas hob, fridge, moka coffee maker and plenty of cookware, glassware and utensils. For indoors meals, there is a wooden table seating up to 4. This room leads through to a cosy living area providing sufficient room for you to stretch out and relax. There is a spacious bedroom with kingsize bed as well as a bathroom with shower.
As well as having a charming, private garden patio to enjoy, guests are also welcome to make use of the communal terrace. This has a shade sail and is equipped with tables and chairs. Next to the terrace is a BBQ area with a charcoal BBQ. Finally, there is off road parking. Each apartment is allocated one space.
The rural location of the apartment offers guests plenty of peace and tranquillity.
Located in the Fino Valley, between the mountains and the sea, The Haybarn offers tranquility in the Abruzzo countryside with views stretching as far as the Adriatic sea.
It is a 15 minute drive from the apartment to the nearest town of Castiglione Messer Raimondo (10km). Here, guests will find several restaurants and a range of stores. For groceries, there are two small supermarkets closer to the apartment in Cesi and Piani. Both are each approximately 10 minutes (6 km) by car. The nearest beach is at Pineto. This is approximately 35 km away and can be reached in under an hour. The Campo Imperatore - Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga National Park is 60 minutes drive from the apartment.
The Haybarn really is the perfect base for exploring the Abruzzo region. Whether you're looking to spend time on the coast or inland in the mountains and countryside, you're well placed for both. Please note that, due to the rural location in the heart of the Abruzzo countryside, a car is essential for your stay. Should you need any assistance during your stay, the owners live in a property nearby and are always happy to discuss the local area and help guests with recommendations, reservations and trip planning. Of course, should you not need any help, they will ensure your privacy at all times.
