There are two bedrooms in this Golfo Gabella penthouse apartment, one of which has a kingsize bed whilst the other can be made up with either two single beds or a kingsize bed. Both have ample storage. The bathroom is modern.
Being the penthouse, guests have not just one but two private terraces to enjoy, perfect for relaxing and sunbathing as well as for al fresco dining. One of these also has a private jacuzzi so you can choose to use the communal one or instead wallow in your own private one on the terrace!nnPlease note that there is a compulsory energy fee of 58 euros per stay which is to be paid locally in cash on arrival.
Local Area
There is also a restaurant on site serving excellent modern, Italian cuisine as well as a bar and cafe where you can also enjoy breakfast for a small additional charge. This Golfo Gabella penthouse apartment is also within walking distance of a number of more traditional eating establishments.
There is a beach just a few yards from the property, where guests can hire boats, pedalos or canoes and enjoy all the wonderful water sports on offer on Lake Maggiore.
A car is really not necessary as everything is within easy walking distance, including the boat stop where guests can access all the other towns and villages on the lake. The train station is also easily accessible from the apartment. Trains go direct from here to Milan Malpensa airport. Or, of course, we can help organise taxi transfers for you.

This is an incredibly popular lakeside resort. It really does tick off so many boxes on the holiday wish list! This Golfo Gabella penthouse apartment is within distance of restaurants, with the use of a swimming pool, close to tennis courts, enjoying lake views and within easy access of the boat stop allowing you to get out and about without the need for a car. It's not surprising that we have guests that come back here year after year!

Erg mooi penthouse met 2 balkons, fijn zwembad en jacuzzi met prachtig uitzicht op lago Maggiore.
The property was spacious, light and very clean. The children enjoyed swimming in the pool. We even made trips to Milan, Varese and Locarno. The things we kind of “missed” were a microwave and a vacuum cleaner.
We had such a lovely time at Golfo Gabella and it was good to explore this side of the Lake for a change. The apartment was a great size for the four of us and very comfortable. We loved the two balconies! As suggestions, a garlic press would have been useful and a slightly larger kettle but apart from that everything was tip top!
The flat was lovely and we loved the pool. We didn’t really go anywhere but stay around the pool and look at the village as most of the time the weather was nice, unlike Como. We liked the concert hall down the road, and saw two free concerts there, and also enjoyed an art exhibition in the municipal building in Maccagno. We also loved having a great supermarket very near. Overall we had a lovely time, thanks very much. One suggestion is that you need a bin in the kitchen and we also found that one washing machine for the building was not enough – it was very hard to get to use it. The staff there are also very kind and helpful. Thanks again.
