The apartment has fully met our expectations. We are leaving Maccagno tomorrow and it seems that we just arrived yesterday, which is always a good sign! We loved the lake front resort and the town. The river delta in Maccagno is a fun and children friendly place for hanging out. During off season the camping sites are quite empty and the beach is basically yours, only shared with a few local dog lovers. Too cold for a swim, but enough to do such things as skip stones, skateboard, play with balls, play on the playground, or take a boat to Luino or Cannobio. Loved the food at La Gabella right next door and at the Pasticceria Cerinotti, as well.
