Villa Ispra is set in a stunning lakeside location on Lake Maggiore, just a few hundred metres from the centre of Ispra. With the mountains behind and lake directly in front, the views from the property are incredible and the setting is quiet and peaceful.
Villa Ispra was built in the 1970s by a famous architect from Milan but has since been renovated and extended.
As guests enter Villa Ispra they go into a living and entrance area equipped with fireplace. A few steps lead down from here to the dining area. To the left of this room are three bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. A second living area enjoys doors directly to the terrace and gardens and leads through to another area which is commonly used as a games area for children and teenagers. The kitchen also enjoys doors leading directly to the garden. This room is well equipped with all the equipment you could need.
A flight of stairs leads to the lower level of Villa Ispra where there are some storage rooms as well as a laundry room. In addition, there are two further bedrooms on this floor, each with their own bathroom. One of these rooms doubles up as a gym and is equipped with a sauna whilst the other is a bedroom suite complete with king size bed, walk-in wardrobes, living area and kitchenette. It also has a large whirlpool bath which looks out over the pool towards the lake whilst the bathroom behind is equipped with a shower that doubles us as a Turkish bath, washbasin and WC.
The view from Villa Ispra is simply incredible. Outside, the garden is laid out over many levels, all sloping towards the lake and all enjoying the wonderful views from the property towards the Borromean Islands. The sunsets from this location are spectacular.
A private pool is available at Villa Ispra, equipped with counter current functionality for serious swimmers. This is open from May 6 to 23 September. There is plenty of outdoor seating, both for relaxed drinks as well as for more formal al fresco dining. Our favourite has to be the jasmine covered gazebo. Plenty of sun loungers are also provided. There is an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area which is perfect for keen chefs.
A set of stone stairs lead from the garden of Villa Ispra through a gate directly to the lakeside. A canoe is provided for guests to use and, of course, the lake is wonderful to swim in if you fancy a change from the pool! There is a covered porch where you can park your car.
