Villa Leggiuno is a large villa on Lake Maggiore that can sleep up to guests in bedrooms. It occupies an impressive lake front setting. Pathways lead from the garden down to numerous little terraces and then to the lakeside where guests can swim in the crystal clear lake waters.
This villa on Lake Maggiore was designed at the end of the 1950s by a famous Italian architect. Whilst it has seen changes since then, the current owners have ensured that much of its original characteristics and charm have been retained.
Inside, this 6 bedroom villa is laid out over three levels. It works well for a large group of family or friends. However, please note that it is not suitable for young children or the elderly or infirm due to the number of external steps and internal staircases.
As well as 6 bedrooms, this villa on Lake Maggiore also boasts 4 bathrooms. There is also a spacious living area, fully equipped kitchen and adjacent dining room.
The villa is located on the main lakeside road that runs around Lake Maggiore. Guests can access the lake directly from the villa. Alternatively, there are two public beaches which can easily be reached on foot. The first is just 350 metres away at Ceresolo. The second is 600 metres away (approximately a 10 minute walk) at Reno. Guests will also find a selection of cafes and restaurants within a 10 minute radius on foot too.
Santa Caterina del Sasso is also reachable on foot in under 20 minutes, whilst the bustling lakeside town of Laveno is less than 10 minutes drive away. Laveno has excellent boat and train links, allowing you to easily explore the wider area using public transport. A good selection of shops, restaurants and bars can also be found in nearby Besozzo 8 km away.
