The Space

The accommodation in Villa Icarus is arranged across a main villa and two charming cottages within the grounds. These grounds are extremely spacious, measuring over 3000 square metres. Every corner of this high-end retreat radiates elegance and style, offering breathtaking views over vineyards and the enchanting Valdichiana valley.

Inside, the Tuscan kitchen sits at the heart of Villa Icarus. This is fully equipped with everything you could need. Modern appliances include an oven, fridge, freezer, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machines, toaster and blender. A charming fireplace - camino - adds to the warm, rustic charm of the space, perfect for cosy gatherings. There is also ample room for cookery classes in this space. Doors lead from the kitchen to an outdoor terrace.

Moving through the villa, there is a stunning panoramic living room. This offers captivating views of the rolling vineyards and the beautiful Tuscan landscape through large, floor-to-ceiling arched windows. Doors lead out to the garden. Bathed in natural light, the space is elegantly designed with comfortable, modern furnishings that invite you to relax and unwind. The neutral tones of the sofas and wooden accents blend seamlessly with the terracotta flooring, whilst artworks on the walls add colour. The overall result is a warm and welcoming atmosphere. For your entertainment, there is a flat-screen TV with access to Netflix. There is also a bathroom with shower on this floor.

There are three bedroom suites in the main villa, all on the first floor. The first measures 20 square metres and is furnished with a king-size bed (180 x 200 cm) with high quality linens. Please note that this can be arranged as two single beds if guests prefer. The ensuite bathroom is adorned with Tuscan natural stones and marble, adding a touch of rustic elegance, and includes a spacious shower along with a luxury vanity set. There are elegant bedside lamps and large wooden wardrobes provide plenty of storage space. The room is fully air conditioned, and there is a ceiling fan for added comfort. In addition, the windows are fitted with shutters and mosquito screens to ensure a peaceful stay. The second bedroom suite is a similar size and is similarly equipped and furnished.

The third bedroom suite is larger, measuring 36 square metres. Again, it has a kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom. The bathroom includes a lavish marble bathtub as well as an overhead shower, soft bathrobes, and a premium vanity set. In addition to the sleeping area, this suite also boasts a private lounge room equipped with a comfortable sofa bed, perfect for either 2 children or 1 adult. A writing desk provides a quiet space for reflection or work, while satellite TV ensures entertainment at your fingertips. This suite also has external stairs leading to the garden below.

Inside the garden there are two charming cottages. The first measures 50 square metres. Here, accommodation is laid out over one floor. There is a fully equipped kitchenette with all the essentials, as well as a cosy dining corner with a sofa bed. The bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed (180 x 200 cm) and there is a shower room. Again, it has both air conditioning and a ceiling fan. Outside, there is a private patio, enjoying views of the surrounding vineyards.

Accommodation in the second cottage is arranged over two floors. It enjoys views over the pool and valley below. The bedroom is on the ground floor. This is furnished with a double bed. Stairs lead to a lower level where there is a lounge area with a wine bar nestled in the corner and a dedicated yoga and gym space. Also on this floor there is a spacious bathroom with a jacuzzi bath, sink and WC.

Outside, there is a infinity swimming pool that sits overlooking the vineyards below. This is open from May to September each year. The gardens are immaculately presented. Guests are welcome to help themselves to any produce from the vegetable garden as well as to any fruit from the trees when in season. Elsewhere in the garden, plenty of lawns provide the perfect setting for rest or play, whilst roses add colour. An outdoor terrace complete with table and chairs seating 14, and covered by a rustic pergola adorned with greenery, is the perfect setting for al fresco dining. There are also two BBQs. The first is a traditional wood oven, perfect for pizzas and meat. The second is a modern gas BBQ for ease and convenience.

Guests will enjoy 2 hours of complimentary cleaning on the Tuesday and Thursday of their stay. You will also receive a free welcome basket on arrival and a complimentary wine tasting during your stay. We would be happy to help anything else you should need. For example, should guests wish to enjoy a curated tasting event, this can be arranged, paired with a selection of local wines. Please note that the villa is situated close to a road so you may hear passing traffic when outside.
