Inside, there is an open plan living and dining room. On one side of the room sits a large dining table. On the other two sofas are arranged around a coffee table, at right angles to a fireplace. To the other side of the space is a double sofa bed allowing the house to accommodate up to four guests in total. The decor has a mix of traditional and more furnishings. Delicate floral curtain fabrics add an elegant rural charm. There is also a shower room on this floor. This has beige tiles and white sanitary ware. To the right of the hallway is a small kitchenette. This has a gas hob and electric oven. There is also a small laundry room with washing machine. A spiral staircase takes guests to the first floor of the house where there is a bedroom. This is furnished with a double bed. It is a charming room with exposed ceilings and wonderful views from the duel aspect windows.
Villa Scrofiano is surrounded by a 500 square metre fenced garden, which in turn is surrounded by vineyards. There is a private swimming pool within the grounds for guests to enjoy. This above-ground pool measures 3 x 5 metres and has a depth of 1.3 metres. This is typically open from 1 May to 30 September each year (weather permitting). A covered terrace sits adjacent to the house furnished with outdoor table and chairs for al fresco dining. There are also deckchairs and sun beds for your comfort and enjoyment. A BBQ is provided too.
There is ample parking for two cars.
Please note that rates exclude a final cleaning fee of 100 euros. A security deposit of 200 euros is payable in cash on arrival but is refunded on departure upon the property being left in satisfactory condition. Also payable locally are utility costs (10 euros per day) and tourist taxes (currently at 0.50 euros per person per day). Pets are accepted on request for an additional fee of 20 euros per day.
Scrofiano is a charming Medieval village known for its historical charm and characterised by its narrow streets. This is approximately 4.5 km from the villa. Also within easy reach of the house are the thermal baths of Rapolano (20 minutes by car) whilst the city of Siena is just a 30 minute drive away.
