The accommodation is arranged over one floor and measures 260 square metres. As you enter the property, you come directly into an open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The living room has burnt orange sofas and chairs arranged around a striking suspended central fireplace. A large wooden dining table provides a wonderful entertainment space for indoor dining. And the kitchen is extremely well equipped for those who like to cook. Floor to ceiling glass windows and doors let the outside in and flood the room with light. They also ensure guests can enjoy the view over the natural pond which sits in front of the house.
From this central part of the home, two symmetrical apartments extend on either side. Each has two double bedrooms and a bedroom furnished with two single beds (one of which can be arranged with a kingsize bed if guests prefer). These six bedrooms share five bathrooms. One of these with a shower has been adapted for those with disabilities. Two of the other bathrooms have showers whilst the other two have bath tubs. There is also a WC. All bedrooms enjoy direct access to the garden.
The doors from the living area lead to the outdoor terrace which is furnished with both outdoor dining table and sun loungers. These overlook the natural pond below. Large sails cover this area to provide shade when needed. There is also a professional BBQ here for guests to enjoy. The terrace extends to the side of the villa where there is also a private swimming pool enjoying views of the Metalliferous Hills and the Val d'Elsa. The pool is equipped with a counter-current swimming system and saltwater purification. It measures 7 x 3 metres and has Roman steps for easy access. It's open from the 30 April to 30 October each year. Please note that this can be heated for an additional cost. Also outside is an outdoor shower with hot water.
In total, the gardens extend over 4000 square metres. They are beautifully maintained, mostly laid with lawns and dotted with tall broom plants which frame the natural pond. This pond reaches a depth of 2.5 metres in its centre. We can arrange horseback rides for you through the estate should this be of interest. Also on request, we can organise cookery classes, private chef services, mountain biking and trekking. Please ask for more details.
Pool heating is provided on request. It costs 75 euros per day in April, May, September and October and 35 euros per day in June, July and August. There are some other additional fees payable locally. These include a 600 euro security deposit (however this is fully refunded on departure upon the property being left in satisfactory condition). Payment of the following fees locally in cash is also mandatory: electricity 36 euros per day, heating 46 euros per day (when applicable) and air conditioning 36 euros per day.
Villa Tegoli is positioned on a hillside surrounded by nature and enjoying wonderful views over fields. Guests can enjoy the spectacular sunsets over the medieval village of Radicondoli which sits nearby. It's the perfect location to enjoy day trips to cities such as Siena and Pisa, or to visit the Etruscan Coast and the charming villages of Baratti and Populonia.
