Coeli Grove is an absolutely delightful detached old stone farmhouse that has been recently renovated to create an idyllic hideaway for a couple or small family. Enjoying its own private pool and set in a picturesque and peaceful rural location, it's perfect for anyone looking to explore all that Umbria has to offer from a charming and authentic Umbrian villa.
The villa is set over two floors. On the ground floor is a living area equipped with comfortable sofas as well as a dining table and chairs. Exposed stone walls give the property bags of character. A small kitchen leads off this room, equipped with both hob and oven as well as a small fridge. A set of stairs leads from the living area to the first floor where there is a beautiful double room. This is a really romantic room, with beautiful beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls which contrast with the white furnishings to create a clever fusion of styles. Windows look out over the pool and towards the valley beyond. The bedroom leads directly through to a second room which is furnished with a single bed. There is also a cot should you need it. Please note that this room is not separated by a door. It's an ideal layout for a family with children but, due to the lack of door in between the rooms, wouldn't be suitable for 3 adults. Please also note that the stairs are open and so the property is not suitable for young children. Finally, a door from the main bedroom leads through to a bathroom with corner shower. Outside, a covered terrace leads directly from the living area, equipped with a table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining. A set of steps lead down to the private swimming pool. Plenty of loungers and seating options are provided for guests enjoyment. There is also a built in BBQ area. Please note: This property is situated in an extremely rural location. This is part of its charm but the rural life (and associated wildlife!) may not be for everyone!
The villa is situated off a quiet country track near to the quaint village of Montefranco, where you'll be spoilt by mouth-watering restaurants, unforgettable views and truly lovely locals. It is also ideally located in between the towns of Spoleto and Terni and within easy reach of Orvieto and Assisi. The beautiful Umbrian countryside is literally on your doorstep and for those keen on hiking and walking, there are some stunning paths taking you through the Italian mountains, past lakes and even waterfalls!
A note from Jo
This is a truly charming property. The British owner purchased the property in 2019 and spent a number of months renovating it to create an idyllic bolthole for a couple or small family. We think that the house has a genuine charm about it and is perfect for anyone looking for a real 'break away from it all' and an escape from the normally hectic pace of life. You'll struggle to tear yourself away from the terrace, poolside and wonderful views but, if you do want to explore, there is plenty of interest within easy reach.
