Villa Volpa is a stunning Tuscany villa in the heart of the Chianti region, just a short drive from Barberino Val d'Elsa. The grounds of the villa are extensive. With nearly 20 acres of land surrounding the villa, guests can be guaranteed privacy and peace. The property boasts 6 bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom. It's a great option for larger families and groups of friends.

Villa Volpa dates back to the early 16th century. Built in 1521, it has, of course, been completely restored much more recently! The interior decor is a pleasant mix of modern and traditional. Original features such as arched stone walls, terracotta floors, wooden beamed ceilings and traditional Tuscan tiles sit comfortably with 21st century modern comforts. Accommodation is arranged over two floors.

On the ground floor, there is a spacious living area furnished with sofas and armchairs arranged around a traditional fireplace and large TV. An archway leads to a dining room with a large table seating 12. Adjacent to the living area there is also a well equipped kitchen. This has a stove, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster, blender and coffee machine. A separate laundry room houses a washer and dryer. Please note that the laundry room is shared with the owner. Finally, there is a double bedroom on this floor with an ensuite shower room. There is also a separate WC.

The remaining bedrooms are on the first floor of the villa. Here you will find three double bedrooms and two bedrooms which are each furnished with two single beds. All rooms have ensuite shower rooms. Each bedroom enjoys fantastic views over the vineyards and the beautiful Tuscan countryside. A second living area on this floor provides the perfect area to cosy up with a good book, to chat with friends or to catch up on a few emails.

Outside, there is a private infinity swimming pool. This measures 10 x 5.6 metres and has a depth of 1.6 metres. It is open from April to October each year. Sun loungers and deckchairs are lined up on one side, making the most of the spectacular views over vineyards towards the Apennine mountains beyond. There are plenty of outdoor seating areas to enjoy. An outdoor covered dining area is furnished with a long table seating 12 and a BBQ. An additional outdoor seating area has more relaxed outdoor sofas and armchairs. The extensive grounds surrounding the property include an olive grove and lavender field. They also include a bocce court, providing plenty of entertainment for all ages.

There is private parking for up to 5 cars. Please note that the owner lives in an apartment adjacent to the villa. He will ensure you enjoy absolute privacy during your stay. But, of course, should you need any assistance, he is on hand to help you with anything you need.

Villa Volpa is situated in the heart of the Chianti countryside, halfway between Florence and Siena. The nearest village is Barberino Val d'Elsa which is approximately an 8 minute drive away. This offers a good selection of services and amenities including a supermarket, pharmacy and post office as well as a selection of restaurants and other shops. Greve in Chianti is 27 km away and the towers of San Gimignano are just 18 km away. Siena and Volterra are both just over 40 km away.
