Le Marche is perfect cycling territory, with mountain bike trails in abundance! Certainly, it is an extremely popular sport across Italy, with men donning the lyrca most weekends!

However, for the holidaymaker, cycle hire can be difficult to find so if you are keen to enjoy a lot of cycling during your trip, you may be best to bring your own bike. It’s not impossible to find cycle hire though.

The local tourist office will always be able to help recommend routes and itineries for you and will be able to advise you on the nearest bike rental business.

The Sarnano cycle club organise regular day trips from April to October and visitors are more than welcome to join them. Or, alternatively why not try one of the 10 MTB cycle routes, details of which can also be found on their site.
