With flexible accommodation arranged across a main villa and separate dependences within the grounds of the estate, it’s the perfect set up for groups that want to holiday together but still appreciate their privacy and independence. The fact that you can walk from the house through the woods to the walled hilltop village of Anghiari, is just the icing on the cake for us.
Corte dei Messapi, Puglia
This stunning large villa in Italy is situated close to the beautiful city of Ostuni in Puglia. Sleeping up to 24 guests in 12 beautifully relaxing bedrooms, it offers the ultimate in luxury living. Outside, the owners have provided not just one but three outdoor pools for guests to relax in, including a rooftop plunge pool which we particularly recommend guests enjoy as the sun sets. Extensive gardens provide the perfect place in which to spend your holiday, whilst little ones will spend hours enjoying the outdoor play area. But, if you can tear yourself away to explore the wider area, then you’re perfectly placed to see the very best that the Valle d’Itria has to offer.

The property is divided into two separate wings, each with its own look and feel but quite distinct in style from one another. Villa Borgo is another of our favourite large villas in Italy. Set in an idyllic spot in Tuscany, it is surrounded by olive groves and hazelnut trees. Accommodation is split with seven bedrooms located in the main villa and an additional two in the adjacent dependence, making it perfect for extended families travelling together. The interior decor is simply exquisite – the owners have taken great care to restore original features and have beautifully furnished the property around these. Outside, the swimming pool is the perfect place to relax, whilst two covered terraces provide the perfect setting to enjoy the company of friends and family into the early hours.
