This 3 bedroom Italian Lakes apartment sleeping up to 8 people with stunning lake views. The contemporary apartment is within walking distance a village where there is a fantastic little pizzeria. It is also only 2 miles from Luino with its wider selection of shops and restaurants. Less than 10 miles from the Swiss border, it also provides easy access to the Lugano, Ascona and Locarno. Lake Como is a 1 hour drive and trains run direct from Luino to Milan.
This 3 bedroom Italian Lakes apartment comprises a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with dishwasher, oven, hob, kettle, toaster and American style fridge freezer with ice on tap. There is also a washing machine in the property. Doors lead out from the kitchen and living area onto the extremely large wrap-a-round terrace which circles 3 sides of the property.
This apartment also has two double bedrooms, one with study area and ensuite bathroom, as well as a third bedroom with adult size bunk beds. Please note that this room is very small and also has a washing machine and boiler present. There is a modern family bathroom with large shower.
The outdoor space in this 3 bedroom Italian Lakes apartment is fantastic, with plenty of seating and sun beds. The development has secure electric gates and plenty of parking. Please note that there are no pavements on the road leading from the apartment to the village and so care must be taken when walking up with children. However, this is not a busy road and the walk is less than 100 metres on this road.
Brezzo di Bedero is a lovely little village on the banks of Lake Maggiore. It has a great pizzeria which is extremely popular with the locals. It's only a 5 minute drive down the hillside from this 3 bedroom Italian Lakes apartment to the nearest town where there are a selection of shops and restaurants including a large Carrefour supermarket.
A note from Jo
This is the 3 bedroom Italian Lakes apartment that I stayed in when I first visited this part of Italy so it's a property I have a real soft spot for. I remember with fondness evenings spent on the wrap-a-round terrace enjoying the incredible 180 degree views up and down the lake. Enjoying the sun all day long, from breakfast through to sunset, it's a fantastic place to stay.
The apartment was in a nice location, with beautiful views which were ever changing. It was clean and of comfortable size with 2 well sized wash areas. The kitchen was more than adequate should you want to stay and have meals at the apartment. The local supermarket was a 5 minute drive and was well stocked. You will need your own transport for sure should you stay here as taxis are not available and the public transport is very limited. Google maps and general advise say the train station in Luino is a 1 hour walk but we did it in 30 minutes going down and 35 minutes coming back as its uphill. The Luino port is a 40 minute walk down and 45 minutes back. A small part of the walk is not paved but we did not find this an issue. I am 62 and my wife is 58 so not spring chickens. The terrace was of good size and would accommodate eating and sunbathing quite easily due to its size. You also have an allotted parking space which was right next to the apartment entrance. The communications from Bookings for you were always timely and helpful and you always felt that they would go that extra mile to help you if needed.
