1. This is truly a five-star property in all respects. We were seven adults and an 11-month old and stayed for seven nights in July 2023. The property was spotless on arrival and everything was arranged very smoothly and helpfully by Jo. The villa, the pool, the extensive and beautiful garden, and the stunning view make this a perfect place for a relaxing holiday in Italy. For a family that likes cooking, the kitchen has it all, there is no shortage of pans, utensils, glasses et cetera. The villa is high up in the hills, with a steep and winding (and at some points rather narrow) access road, but once you’ve driven up and down a few times, it poses no more challenges.

2. The villa was super nice for our family, everything we needed, private with lots of space, very nice pool, very nice view from the balcony on the second floor and so on. But I mainly want to mention the excellent service we got from Jo Mackay. We were having a little difficult time finding properties in the area until I found bookingsforyou.com and we ended up renting two villas, this one for 6 nights and another one for 7 nights. This meant a lot of mails and I always got very friendly responses very quickly at all hours of the day and she even ordered a walking frame for my elderly mother through Amazon. This is by far the best booking agency service we have ever had and I would most definitely book through Jo Mackay again if I have another vacation in the area, very highly recommended!

3. This is a really lovely place with great views and pool. We were three couples, and it was ideal, including our own bathrooms. It was a bit hard to find at first, but a lovely walk down and up to Colmegna. The local pizza place was good and the Hotel Camin superb.

4. Three generations of one family accommodated perfectly in this beautiful comfortable villa. The house contained absolutely everything you could need for a relaxing stay and the garden/pool area was stunning. I have no hesitation in giving a 5 star rating.

5. I would be grateful if you could please pass on to the owners of Villa Colmegna our warm congratulations on having such a superb villa! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there: it is so well-equipped and thoughtfully arranged. A beautiful garden too, and lovely pool. It was a wonderful place to unwind after the excitement of our daughter’s wedding near Asti. And it was great to be able to have the rest of the family with us. I hope very much that we can pay a return visit to Villa Colmegna before too long!

6. Das Haus ist sehr gross, schön und sauber! Bezaubernde Aussicht und schöner Garten mit Pool! Preis Leistung stimmt und Jo Mackey die Vermieterin ist sehr nett, zuvorkommend und gut erreichbar per Mail! Der Ort selber ist sehr ruhig und es gibt nicht viele Möglichkeiten bei schlecht Wetter mit Kindern. Ausser man ist bereit sich pro Weg eine Stunde oder mehr ins Auto zu setzten! Wir würden auf jeden Fall nochmal hin fahren! (3 Familien mit Kindern zwischen 2 und 9)

8. Das Haus ist wunderschön im Grünen gelegen und sehr ruhig und idyllisch. Morgens hört man so viele Vögel zwitschern, dass man meinen könnte, man wohne im Dschungel. Alles war tiptop ausgestattet, selbst ein Kohlegrill ist vorhanden. Der Pool war der Hammer, alles war sauber und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Auch die Schlüsselübergabe hat problemlos geklappt.

10. From the moment I enquired to the actual holiday itself the customer services and support was out of this world. Jo helped me find the best villa for our two families and all our needs, it was super easy to book and pay and amazingly Jo answered questions on the day before we travelled! The villa was exemplary, the grounds, the pool, the spacious balconies and interior were a dream come true for us. We enjoyed exploring the local area as well as taking two trips to nearby Switzerland. The view from the balcony each night completely mesmerised us and none of us wanted to leave. On a more practical note, this villa had everything we could have possible needed and was so squeaky clean and well maintained! Thank you SO much!

11. Our family holiday was a great success and not one argument!! I loved the villa, beautiful pool plus gardens and would have been happy not to move for the whole week. It was ideal for seven adults. Loved our evening visits from the wild boar even though we always closed the gate! We all found the shortcut pathway up from the lake difficult especially as it was very hot. We did not need the fans though as the villa is kept cool by shutters and sun blinds. Highly recommend the Hotel Camin in Colmegna as food, service and views are superb! A car is essential but many trains stop at the little station in Colmegna including ones from Switzerland and then next stop Luino.

13. We have just returned from this beautiful villa. We were 2 families with 2 teenage children each – and the villa was just perfect, with views of Lake Maggiore. All the rooms were spacious, beautifully furnished – and, unlike villas we have stayed in before, the beds were so comfortable! The new pool was fantastic, plenty of room for the 8 of us, and large enough to swim lengths if desired We spent a few evenings cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and eating outside on the patio (listening to the wild boar in the field next door – and actually saw one crossing the road one Eve when returning from Luino). Watching the sunset from the balcony was a perfect end to each day. Thank you Jo for a perfect holiday – we’d love to come again.

14. I think Bookings for You was an easy partner to co-operate with and everything went smoothly. They answered us quickly and in a friendly way. I am happy to use their services again and I have been already searching villa for next summer. We had a lovely week in Villa Colmegna. The villa was very good, one of the best we have rented, and it was just like described beforehand: very good beds and bathrooms, good coal bbq, very well equipped kitchen, lovely pool, nice garden and great view. We loved the lake and little villages nearby. There was problems first with keys and then with wifi, but problems were quickly fixed. Olimpia was very helpful. We appreciated the good instructions about how to find villa and how things work there. Recycling was a little bit difficult.

15. We really want to thank you for having helped us to spend a great holiday. I’m not exaggerating to say that this was one of the best times we’ve ever had in a vacation home. The property was absolutely amazing and as my husband and I spent the holidays with my quite big family we really appreciated the spaciousness of the house and the garden. Both adults and children had lots of things to enjoy in and around the house. We really didn’t miss anything and to quote my mother who especially cherished the very well equipped kitchen: “There is nothing in this house that is lacking.” It was absolutely worth it!
