The apartment provided the most wonderful accommodation for 2 weeks of total relaxation and an ideal base from which to explore the fantastic countryside, the main beautiful hilltop villages and endless places of interest all within a short drive. Whilst somewhat ‘bracing’ in October, the pool was still warm enough to take a dip and the views from the infinity pool are just amazing. The villa was well stocked with provisions on arrival and the owners who live just a stones-throw away were always on hand to help and point us in the right direction. Space in the accommodation was plentiful and it was well furnished; better still it is on the edge of the lovely little village of Paciano with a couple of great restaurants and a most friendly population of around 1000 souls.

We have just arrived home. We had a wonderful week in Umbria, the villa was just as you had described. We had dinner with Lucia and Alina and they they were wonderful hosts. We bought some of their olive oil and they are shipping it to New Zealand for us. We were very happy with the villa and your excellent service. Thanks for everything Jo.

Paciano is a very special little village in Umbria and made even more so by the warmth, hospitality and friendship shown by Lucia and Alaina during our 10 day stay at their Tartagli property just up the hill from Fontanaro – with spectacular views. The weather wasn’t at it’s best last week when we were there but we were invited to Fontanaro for lunch with Lucia and Alaina, we made pasta and strudel together, visited the magnificent wine cellar, met some locals and experienced the real lifestyle of this tiny medieval village. The village is for those who want absolute peace and quiet but there’s plenty to do in nearby villages and the scenery is just brilliant!
