Inside, the harmonious blend of wooden beams, traditional floors and elegant furnishings ensures guests comfort and relaxation. The accommodation is laid out over two levels.
On the ground floor, there is a large living room. This is furnished with comfortable sofas and chairs arranged around an open fireplace and TV. This area leads into a spacious dining room and fully equipped kitchen. There are also two bedrooms on the main floor (one twin and one double with a queen-size bed) as well as a bathroom with shower. Both bedrooms open directly to the garden and pool. Finally, there is an additional WC on this floor.
The upper floor can be accessed either via an internal wooden staircase or a traditional external staircase. Here, there is a second living room with fireplace as well as a master bedroom with queen-size bed and ensuite bathroom with shower and bathtub. There is then a second master bedroom, also with queen-size bed and with an ensuite bathroom with shower. The final bedroom on this floor is furnished with two single beds and has an ensuite bathroom with shower and bathtub. All beds are topped with cozy duvets for those cool evenings.
The house is positioned high on a hill, allowing for natural breezes. However, should you need them, fans are available, although these are rarely required given the natural breeze. All windows and doors are equipped with mosquito screens.
Outside, the well-appointed garden of cypress and olive trees also features a lovely porch with a barbecue, table and chairs. Fresh rosemary, thyme and sage can be picked directly from the adjacent herb garden. There is also a private swimming pool offering breathtaking views of the rolling Tuscan hills. Sun loungers are available or you can choose instead to relax on the outdoor sofas in the shade of the parasols provided. The property is immersed in the beautiful green Tuscan countryside and surrounded by ancient woods, including Mount Cetona. This is the perfect location from which to enjoy pleasant day trips on foot or by bicycle. Please note that due to its location, the access road is not suitable for low-lying cars.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the house, and the signal even reaches the pool area.
Guests will receive a complimentary maid service three times a week. Please note that, when required, heating is an additional cost and is charged on departure based on usage. If you are staying during the Winter months and would like firewood, we can provide this for you for a cost of 20 euros per 100 kg. Pets are welcome on request but there is an additional charge of 50 euros per animal to cover the extra cleaning costs. Please ask for more information.
The villa is is just a 10 minute drive (5 km) from the town of San Casciano dei Bagni, a charming village known for its natural hot springs. You'll also find a great pizzeria and the well-known Daniela restaurant in San Casciano dei Bagni as well as a selection of shops. It's also within easy reach of the small Etruscan towns of Chiusi and Sarteano and the famous town of Pienza, a pearl of the Renaissance period. Montepulciano and Montalcino, with their wineries specialising in the famous Vino Nobile variety and Brunello wines are also close by. And guests can also use Villa Troscione as a base to explore important cities such as Siena, Florence, Orvieto, Assisi, Perugia and Todi.
