Sustainable Villas in Italy

At Bookings For You, we are firm supporters of sustainable travel. By that, we mean travelling in a way that reduces the negative impact on the environment and local communities.

All of our villas in Italy are unique. However, some also go that extra mile to support a more sustainable way of travelling. That may be because the owners have invested in renewable and green energy technology such as solar panels or have an electric car charger in place for guests to use. It may be that it’s something as simple as the villa promotes sustainable living through the existence of a vegetable patch that guests can use during their stay, enabling you to serve up zero kilometre meals. Or it may be that the villa goes the extra mile to encourage recycling, reducing the amount of waste going to landfill. Alternatively, it might even be that the property is accessible using public transport or provides bikes to allow guests to get around on two wheels during their stay. Finally, a villa could also be included in our list of sustainable villas in Italy because of the way in which the owner supports the local community. This may be by their promotion of other local businesses ensuring that holiday money gets spent locally. Or it may even be the fact that the owner lives locally and pays taxes locally, ensuring that the revenue they make is reinvested back into the local community.

Whatever the reason (or usually reasons), we feel that that those villas that have made it into our collection of sustainable villas in Italy truly can claim to have gone above and beyond others in ensuring that they are supportive of sustainable tourism.
