As a result, we have tried to make the search for a wheelchair friendly villa in Italy as easy as possible. The list below only contains holiday rentals which are suited to those with mobility issues. At the same time, we recognise that the needs of wheelchair users and those with disabilities can vary widely. Some of our wheelchair accessible properties have fully adapted bathrooms. Others may simply have wide doorways and accessible ground floor bedrooms. With others, we may also be able to hire additional equipment which is not included as standard.

It's an incredibly historic home in Tuscany and, over the years, has been the home of many illustrious Florentine families including the Scolari family, the Pitti family and more recently the Medici family. In 1585, this castle in Tuscany was donated by the Grand Duke Francesco de Medici to the well-known sculptor Giambologna, who, in turn, passed it to his pupil Pietro Tacca when he died.
