The building itself is a restored palmento (an ancient, traditional stone building specifically designed for winemaking), ensuring that this historic accommodation has plenty of charm and character whilst being updated to reflect 21st century living standards. Inside, exposed wooden beams and stone walls contrast perfectly with contemporary furnishings creating a unique, welcoming space.
Accommodation is arranged over two adjacent buildings, offering the perfect opportunity to enjoy each others company whilst still having privacy.
In the first building of the ancient palmento, guests will find the main living areas. Here, there is a spacious open plan kitchen and dining room. This is dominated by a large wooden table and a charming mezzanine level that still preserves the original wine presses. A small wine cellar is also available for guests. For wine lovers, we can also organise a wine delivery service to the villa, ensuring that you can begin your holiday with a glass of local wine. The building opens onto a panoramic terrace. On one side, there is a pergola with an outdoor dining table. On the other, a pathway leads to a private swimming pool lined with sun loungers and deck chairs. This overlooks a fragrant garden and the surrounding countryside.
The panoramic position ensures guests can enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the Sicilian countryside and the sea, creating memories that will stay with you long after your Sicilian holiday.
The adjacent building hosts the sleeping area. On the ground floor there is a small kitchen and four double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. One overlooks the internal courtyard with garden and pergola, while the others all enjoy sea views and have direct access to the panoramic terrace. On the upper attic floor there is an additional double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The space is enriched with authentic Sicilian details such as traditional majolica tiles and original grated windows.
The property is accessed through a private gate and offers internal parking.
The baroque streets of Scicli and the beaches of Cava d'Aliga and Sampieri, are both just a few kilometres away.
